d to announce the success of its model home grand opening oyster roast at Stonoview on Johns Island. Co-hosted with Brock Built Homes, the October 22 event attracted almost 350 guests, including current homeowners and prospective buyers.
“This time of year, there is nothing like shucking oysters next to an outdoor fire on a cool Charleston afternoon,” explained Mark Lipsmeyer, the vice president of FrontDoor Communities’ Charleston division. “The day was perfect for just that, plus many of the guests that came did not know that this fantastic community existed. We wrote one contract, and several are interested in looking further into purchasing a new home.”
The event featured delicious food catered by Sticky Fingers Ribhouse, a Lowcountry barbecue favorite; cold beverages and fabulous door prizes. Sponsor Butler Marine even raffled off a brand new 2016 Key West Boat valued at $30,000. Plus, there was plenty of activities for the little ones. Kids loved the hay rides, choosing a pumpkin, playing in the bounce house and eating some yummy cotton candy.
Along with the festivities, guests were able to tour Stonoview’s model homes, including FrontDoor Communities’ Albrecht model. Showcasing one of the largest home designs, the Albrecht epitomizes Southern hospitality. Highlights include an expansive front porch, standard energy-efficient and eco-friendly features, a chef-inspired kitchen with stainless steel appliances, family room with fireplace and built-in shelving and a main level owner’s suite with private sunroom, roomy walk-in closet and spa-like bath. Upstairs, the model home has three secondary bedrooms with two full baths.
